Eid Ul Fitr
Eid ul-Fitr, also known as just Eid, is a Muslim holiday which marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic month of fasting. Celebrations continue for one, two or three days and people wish each other Eid Mubarak (Blessed Eid) or Eid Said (Happy Eid).
Celebrations vary by country but include gatherings to the new moon, decorating homes inside and out, family visits, eating special sweet foods, neighbourhood fairs, wearing new clothes and the giving and receiving of gifts.
Eid al-Fitr is next celebrated on 4th June 2019 and at Pixieland we will be celebrating by making some nice creative crafts such as Eid pictures for all the children to take home to decorate their homes and to give as presents to their families. We will also use this time to talk about our families.
